Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4, 1954) is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara is the proud winner of numerous awards that include a Genie Award. In 2018, O'Hara was named as an Officer of Canada. She was also awarded the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was a renowned actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd as co-stars, she was in the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy began work on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her writing in the Outstanding category for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the newly formed Second City artistic advisory board led by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
