Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10, 1949) is an American businesswoman, investor, speaker, consultant writer, syndicated columnist, author, and television personality. The Corcoran Group, an NYC-based real estate brokerage was established by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then left the company. Corcoran was a participant in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. She has been involved in 53 deals since February, 2020. The largest was a $350,000 investment that will cover 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater, New Jersey, the second of 10 children in a working class Irish-Catholic family. Florence, her mother, was a household worker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was a bouncing from job to job throughout Corcoran's early years.
